Overview Half cardigan stitch gives this fabric its deep ribs and springy, lofty handle. The cashmere and silk blend adds a subtle lustre and a smoother drape than cashmere alone. At 7 gauge it makes generous sweaters, cardigans and scarves.
The structure Half cardigan is a 1×1 rib in which one needle bed tucks on every other row. The tucked loops widen the fabric and round out the ribs, giving the stitch its plump look and a slightly different face on each side.
Feel and performance Plush and elastic, with a smooth surface from the silk. It stretches comfortably and springs back.
